Privacy notice

Last updated 30 Sept 2026

This notice explains what personal data Val Tracker handles, where it comes from, why we use it and the rights you have under the UK GDPR, the Data Protection Act 2018 and the EU GDPR.

Who is responsible

Val Tracker is an independent fan project. It is not run, endorsed or sponsored by Riot Games.

Val Tracker is run independently and is the controller of your personal data. For any question about this notice or your data, email privacy@valtracker.io.

What data we handle

For players whose Valorant matches we have collected, we store and show:

  • Riot account identifiers: the Riot ID (name and tag), region and the player IDs (PUUIDs) Riot uses for the account.
  • Match statistics: matches played, agents, maps, weapons, kills, deaths, assists, damage, rounds, economy and the positions recorded during each match.
  • Ranks: current and peak rank, ranked rating, rank history and leaderboard standings.
  • Profile details: player card, account level and the players someone queued with.

If you sign in with your Riot account, we also store:

  • Your account record: Riot ID, region, player IDs, when you joined and last signed in, and whether your profile is public or private.
  • The players you follow.
  • A session cookie that keeps you signed in.

Sign-in happens on Riot's own pages. We never see your Riot password.

Like any website, our hosting providers process your IP address and browser details to deliver pages and protect the site from abuse.

Where the data comes from

  • Riot Games' developer API, for account, match, rank and leaderboard data.
  • Other publicly available Valorant data services, which fill gaps in Riot's data such as rank history.
  • You, when you sign in, change your privacy setting or follow players.

Why we use it

  • To show player profiles, match pages and leaderboards.
  • To build combined agent and map statistics across all stored matches.
  • To let signed-in players keep their profile private, follow other players and see all of their own stats.
  • To keep the site running, secure and free from abuse.

Our lawful basis

Under the UK GDPR and the EU GDPR we rely on:

  • Legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f)) for showing the game statistics Riot makes available to developers on profiles, match pages and leaderboards, for combined statistics and for security. Our interest is running a free stats site for the Valorant community. We balance it against your rights by showing only in-game data, never contact details, and by letting you hide your profile or object at any time.
  • Providing the service you asked for (Article 6(1)(b)) for your account, sign-in and the players you follow.

Who can see it

  • Profiles are public unless their owner has made them private, and anyone who visits the site can see a public profile. Private profiles are hidden, and their owners appear as “Private player” in other players' matches and on leaderboards.
  • Service providers run the site for us: Cloudflare hosts the website and its account database, and a hosting provider runs our stats servers. They process data only on our instructions.
  • Some providers may process data outside the UK and the EEA. Where they do, the transfer relies on adequacy regulations or standard contractual clauses.
  • We do not sell your data, use it for advertising or share it with anyone else unless the law requires it.

How long we keep it

  • Account data and follows: for as long as your account exists, or until you ask us to delete them.
  • Match statistics and ranks: for as long as the site runs, so that other players' match history stays complete. If you object or ask for erasure, we hide them as described under “How to ask for deletion”.
  • Cookies and browser storage: for the periods listed below.
  • Technical logs: only as long as needed to keep the site running and secure.

Your rights

You have the right to:

  • ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you (access);
  • have inaccurate data corrected (rectification);
  • have your data deleted (erasure);
  • ask us to limit how we use your data (restriction);
  • object to our use of your data based on legitimate interests (objection);
  • receive the data you gave us in a machine-readable format (portability).

To use any of these rights, email privacy@valtracker.io. We will reply within one month.

If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk) in the UK, or to the data protection authority in the EU country where you live or work.

How to ask for deletion

You can hide your profile straight away: sign in, open your account settings and make your profile private.

To have your data deleted, email privacy@valtracker.io with your Riot ID (Name#TAG). We may ask you to confirm the account is yours, for example by signing in with Riot on this site.

We then make your profile private, which stops this site showing your profile, matches and ranks, and delete the players you follow. In other players' matches and on leaderboards you appear as “Private player”.

We keep only what is needed to keep you hidden: your player IDs and your privacy choice. Match records stay on our servers because they also belong to the other players in those matches, but they are no longer shown with your name.

Cookies and browser storage

We use only cookies and browser storage that the site needs to work or that remember choices you make. There are no advertising or analytics cookies.
